It's sad to hear that Fuji will discontinue Acros 100 in large format and fingers crossed that they won't do the same with 120 and 35mm! Before we got started, Lou did a lot of research and with the help of great video's like our friend Ed's (he was able to figure out which supplies we would need to build our little home development station.

We haven't made a film video in a long time as we were a bit frustrated with having to outsource this part of the process and are so happy that we finally got around to figuring out how to own the full process now. I am familiar with shooting TLR cameras but the Yashica is so much smaller and less heavy than My Mamiya C330.Shooting it is very similar but the focussing screen on the Mamiya is way better. Nevertheless the Yashica is a joy to use and easier to travel with.

Check out the blog - QUESTIONS? 1 месяцев назад Over the past few weeks, I've been shooting film in Berlin with the Leica M7. It was my first time to Germany, and only my second time in Europe, so I took advantage of the time as much as I could.

The film used was Portra 400, shot at 200, and scanned at Richard Photo Lab in California. Cameras used were the Leica M7 with a 28mm and 50mm. The video was with the GoPro Fusion Overall, happy with the images - though I wish I had a 35mm lens rather than a 28 or 50. While the Leica M7 was fun to shoot with, overall I found it a bit cumbersome despite its small size.

Mostly because the M7 is very heavy. Even without the GoPro Fusion mounted on it. If I could go back, I'd probably use my Mamiya 7ii in place of the Leica. I love the colors and images with it, but the Mamiya 7 feels smaller and more portable.

(Surprisingly.) Still, it's a Leica. Can't really complain too much. I'm bias, but they have the best photographic bodies and lenses full stop. So I wanted to look at the results I've been getting for film vs digital with my Leica gear over the years.

I think that with the optimum film, film Leicas have more resolving power than digital. Sharpness and detail is one thing, but film also captures a certain aesthetic and I do less editing with film because I just love the look of film in my art.
